When in doubt you can always clean the fridge!

So the weather finally caught up with us. After being blessed with a week of beautiful sunshine the wind and the rain has set in. Yesterday we made the move a little further south for a change of scenery. The little village of Black Point is a Bahamian settlement with around 300 inhabitants. It is one of the largest colonies north of Great Exuma. Everyone we have met in the village since arrival has given us the warmest welcome. Children and adults alike stop to say hello or offer information.

On advice from cruisers in the previous port we had waited to provision being told here was better and cheaper. Unfortunately on arrival we found this wasn't quite the truth. The local shops are rather like walking into a 50's corner shop with dates on the products to match. (We're sure it would be much better during the season) We stocked up on local eggs and lettuce and set out for the laundromat...a chore that as ever we made exhilarating(!

How far we have travelled so far...

How far we have left to go.....(urrrrr...hope the weather clears up soon!)

After our errands ashore we took a wet and windy trip back in the tender back to slow flight. After that everything got a little 'unusual' as rainy day boredom settled in and pippa and Freyja found that the best entertainment to be had was winding up Abe and deciding which of us should cut ourselves so we could bleed in the water and look at some sharks. I feel the first scrabble match of the trip coming on. Tensions could run high!

When in doubt you can always clean the fridge....!!
