It begins with a 'Slow Flight'...

It begins with a 'Slow Flight'....

Our 10 hour flight from Gatwick to Orlando was pretty uneventful...we picked up our 7 suitcases from baggage claim and after wrestling to get a trolley for 5 tired minutes we realised that you actually have to pay for them (!!)

Arriving in Fort Pierce we had little idea about what to expect of the boat but we were pleasantly surprised to find Slow Flight much bigger and prettier than anticipated (we even managed to squeeze three of us in the heads - Abe would have joined us but he was being stubborn - photo evidence to follow!)

We have a huge dining table in the saloon which we have decided is perfect for entertaining (let's see who we'll find along the way!) We also have an epic booze cupboard and a pet cat named Speedy...

Challenges have come in thick and fast - we have a swimming pig on order from James Florey and Pete Hawkins requests a reggae CD from every island - any imaginative requests or challenges are welcome - please leave us a comment below!

Today we just went for the usual shopping list, food, fishing lures and a lovely captains hat for Abe. However with two huge aisles of fishing equipment we had to abort our fishing mission and retire until we can find an old salty sea dog who can ''lure'' us in the right direction....we hope!!

We're in the sunshine state but currently we are finding this claim unfounded as the wind whistles through the halyards...

As you may have realised Abe is outnumbered three to one, we are unsure how this may effect him after four weeks at sea, we have yet to hear him speak....  ; ) Stayed tuned for updates.

Big Love,

Pippa, Freyja, Esmé & Abe. x
